yeay! and play on Saturday! I have voice lesson tomorrow, so I'm listening to Orfeo right now. I have one aria from that, and one from Mignon. My voice teacher wanted me to listen to recordings for ideas about ornamentation and tempo. must sleep now-- was IMing for way too long. had fun though

I feel like everything weighs about five times as much in the mornings. It's just hard to get moving. Blah. and I turned off my alarm on accident so I'm now late. It's a good thing I set my own hours.

I've been having a hard time keeping my cool at work. My boss is a good guy, but he is SO disorganized, and just cannot communicate. His wife confirmed to me that he has a speech disorder-- the words get mixed up between his brain and his mouth. It helps to know I'm not just insane, but doesn't make it less frustrating. I am tired of having to repeat the same thing three different ways to get us on the same page. And of asking him the same question multiple times (I think the average is like three) before he actually answers the questions I'm asking. ARGGGH!! And he gets frustrated too, because I'm taking up time where he could be working (i.e. running around like a chicken with his head cut off trying to do 5 things at once because it's more efficient, but with no plan, so that it takes 3 times longer than if he had just taken the tasks one at a time)

Another thing I find annoying is that he hovers over me telling me to do what I'm already doing. OR when he tells me to do something, then when I bring him the results responds with "That's not what I wanted" I ask if he wants me to fix it, and he responds with "it's okay, it's better than nothing" The problem is that it's just going to be another thing for me to fix later.

The good thing about my job is flexibility. I have gone on vacation every three months since I started, and it looks like the trend will continue through August at least. I also have flexibility in my hours and during the workday. I have skipped an entire day of work without calling, and my boss's reaction was "Are you okay?" He is a nice guy. I spend alot of time in the car, so I can listen to music, or practice singing. I also have a cellphone that is paid for by work that I use for alot of personal stuff.
