The audition is done. Thanks to all well wishers. I started singing and it was fairly painless. I was trembling when I left though. I'm just glad that I don't have to do anything else with this now. I need to get headshots though. blech. And make up an artist's resume.

Now I can focus all my energy on the Germany trip!!!! I have to work tomorrow, but then I have all day Thurs to get ready to go. I fly Thurs night, and I'll be back June 2nd. I need to go over my music. eek! there's alot of music. I have a full 1 1/2" binder. and it's almost all a cappella (vocal only). This is going to be so fun! I wish there was a good way to get some pounds, euros and czech crowns before I leave. I went to Thomas cook today-- they charge a $5 commission PER CURRENCY!

I'm going to go to the social tomorrow, though I'm kinda peeved about the whole cover charge deal. They didn't have that before.

Eh, don't worry about the money thing. You can use an atm there, there will be one right in the airport guaranteed, and it'll give you your money in the proper currency. You get the bank-to-bank exchange rate, too, without being charged commission. That's how I got to my money when I was in the UK, works like a charm.

I'll look around here and see if we have any pounds left, I'll let you know.

*nods* Thank you. that's what I figured I'd do. I just dislike that our system allows the exchangers to take advantage of people. I'm glad to here that someone with more recent experience in Europe than I (France in 1994), found that that worked. I'm still planning on calling my bank to see what they'll charge me, but I really don't see how it could be more than Thomas Cook.

As for the cover charge they started that about 2 years ago?? When they moved to the 4 points thats when the cover started. I hope you have fun there too tonight and sorry I wont see you.

I quit going when they moved to four points. I was still in contact with people, but that was pretty much exactly when I stopped attending the public stuff.
