Quote of the day

"Freedom from the desire for an answer is essential to the understanding of a problem."
~Krishnamurti

This is a huge struggle for me right now.

what does it mean to you if you detach from wanting an answer?

It means that I might not get an answer. Which means failure. It means that I have to be patient and allow things to unfold, and sit with the discomfort of my feelings about the problem.

Detaching from wanting an answer also means being open and surrendered to whatever the universe provides.

Interesting connection between not getting an answer = failure.

To the rest of it - yes, it also means you don't have any control. For me, that is where the fear stems from in wanting answers. If I have an answer, even if it's one I don't like, then at least I know - I can make decisions, have control. Sitting smack in the center of the void take a lot of practice and patience.
