Time to celebrate!
Nov. 12th, 2008 09:00 amI just sent my official resignation/transfer letter to my boss. YIPPEE!!!!
On Monday, I was officially offered a promotion to a Faculty Assistant position in the Biological Sciences division on campus. This is a promotion, and I'll be working with some people that I'm already friendly with. I'll be part of a group of FAs who can show me the ropes, with official support and structure for education and development. And I'll be on campus, and have greater responsibility and less supervision. I'm so happy about this.
The one downside is that I will no longer be in Hillcrest, which was quite convenient for social outings during and after work. But that is far out-weighed by the fact that this is a significant move in the direction I want to go in.
My first day working on campus is December 1st. Woohoo!
