SCPA was cool

ellienihonAs many of you know, I went to a magnet school from 4th to 12th grade; School of Creative and performing arts. I really appreciate the general education I got in all the arts there. I may not be able to dance or act very well, but I have enough knowledge to appreciate beautiful dancing and excellent acting. I don't think I would have learned enough to be interested in these art forms on my own, and I am grateful for it.
Why am I talking about this? I'm watching a ballet program on TV and it's bringing back memories of all the dance concerts I had to sit through in school. I didn't enjoy it much at the time, but I am glad that I can watch and know what kind of moves their doing, and know how difficult it is. It also makes me wonder about some of my acquaintances from HS that were dancers.
