It's a Godzilla movie, with Godzilla, who shoots lazer beams, and a pterodactyl thing that gives of sparks when it's hurt (looks like the animatronics are damaged).

And now, they have an egg in a lab, and the woman just stood there and watched as it hatched a man-sized baby godzilla. The scientists all come down to see, and the baby decides it likes the woman, who feeds it the roses she has on her desk. This is just so wrong, it's funny. Oh, and did I mention the telepath lab they have (mostly children, but one adult).

OMG... Now they're breaking out the Godzilla robot, a la Voltron, manned by 5 people. And hey, it's in English now. Oh, it's Meka-Godzilla. I feel sorry for Godzilla... He only has one distance weapon, while they have plasma cannons, lasers and electrocution cable thingies.

heheheh very cool

There is a delightful tackiness to the Japanese horror thrillers. Godzilla and Mothma(?) More monsters have stomped Tokyo. It was almost amusing to see Hollywood try it with their own version which turned out to be a monstrous disaster. The only thing you might miss watching it in the original Japanese is the subtle effect of the subtitles with inappropriate vocal emotions. Cheers.

I was rather fascinated for a bit. I am not one to watch tacky films, so it was a new experience for me.

I remember that one. I am a avid (geek) fan of Godzilla, got a bunch of the movies. From what I remember it goes likes this (If your interested): Godzilla mad his big appearance and over time has made Japan his stomping grounds. In the "future" a special Godzilla force is formed to stop him, they are sent back and proceed to use thier skills/tools to stop him in our present. From what I gathered it sort of a saga across 3-4 "new" movies, starting with the acceptance of this future force after Godzilla 1985. They found MechaGodzilla (previously used as a bad guy by aliens) and resurrected him to conquer Godzilla, but didn't of course. During that movie you watch (it is a setup movie) it brings forth the baby-zilla, and the beginning 'melt-down' of Godzilla (notice the spikes are bigger and his stomach glows now). What happens is the baby and G wander off, the baby grows, baby gets grabbed, baby dies by bad guys hand, G goes off on bad guy then dies in a nuke meltdown turning basically into sludge.. nuke slude ressurrects baby-G and now G is "reborn".

Yes I am a geek and I do love the G/Big Monster movies: Best of them all, THEM!
